"They loved your GPA, then saw your Tweets" Response

They loved your GPA, then they saw your Tweets

Hey there it's Simply, Ann and up above is a link that takes you to an article I read earlier. When I read this I was taken backed as well as surprise. I couldn't believe that colleges went through people's social medias, it's a big violation of privacy. But then I realized that this is the 21st century, kids and teens are more reckless now a days. It's now seemed cool to do and say things that are inappropriate. I could understand doing a background check on them because you don't want someone who is going to cause trouble. But I am conflicted because I also believe what you do outside of  school shouldn't be accounted for the acceptation process for college. What if the college stumbled upon a social media that has your same name that might not be yours?.... it's unfair. This article taught me to be careful with what your posting on social media. Just a simple post could ruin your future that you maybe plan, and work so hard for. if want to still keep your account make two, one you can keep private and one you can make it public. The public one will display things that will appeal colleges, like community service. The private one will have whatever you want, but still be cautious. Thanks for reading.
xoxo Simply, Ann
