Personal Project Review

Hey there it's Simply, Ann and I'm back, Did you miss me?. Starting out this fresh new school year we got our first video assignment. It was to create a 30 second video about good behaviors at Olathe Northwest. The focus area that we chose was ,checking out a book.

Before we started to produce our video we had to create storyboards. A storyboard is a graphic presentation of how your story will unfold, shot by shot. It's made of a number of squares with illustrations or pictures representing each shot. When making a video we create storyboards because it makes production easier, it's the best way to share your vision, and it saves you time. My partner and I decided to use different people in our video besides us, but we did have a little cameo in it to add a flare. An addition to the new sophomore year in eComm is that we get rid of the ipads and use actual camcorders. This is where the difficulty in filming comes. It was hard for me to transition from and Ipad where you just click one button, to an camcorder with so many things buttons you can explore. It took my partner and I  a while to get the hang of it , but we eventually did. During the editing stage we had an easy time puting the different scenes together.
Along the way i learn very many things. Things such as white balance, which is the process of removing unrealistic color casts, so that objects which appear white in person are rendered white in person. I also learn how to stay in focus when filming. What i would do differently is making sure all my scences that I filmed flow nicely. In my video i had a couple of jump shots. So next time to inprove my skills i will make sure to make sure that my video flow smoothly. What i would keep the same is my partner we worked very well together. We had the same idea when brainstorming, and we both had great communication skills. Thanks for reading!
