Feature Story 2 review

Hey there it's Simply, ann and our current assignment of the week was to create another feature story. Although my last experience wasn't great, this time around was a lot better. But it wouldn't be my video if there weren't complications along the way. Originally i wanted to film my friend Tyra on her AVM. This is an abnormal connection between arteries and veins in the brain or spine, in her case it was her brain. At the last minute Tyra canceled the interview because she couldn't fit it in her busy schedule. Luckily my other friend Kadaisha came to the rescue and allowed me to film her on her track story. As long as i've known Kadaisha she has been labeled as the track star. She practices all year round, and is extremely dedicated to accomplishing her goal of being an olympic medalist.

For my second source I wanted to do something different and do two sources, so i did. The first source was Cierra who is a track friend of kadaisha for 4 years. I opened the video with her giving a quote on what she thinks about kadaisha. My second source was Kadaisha's dad who happens to also be one of her coaches. He gave me a very strong quote about all of her track career. It was overall really fun to shoot her on the track, she brought a lot of enthusiasm.

Editing was also not as hard as the last video because of all the b-roll I got. After I completed the video we watch it in class. My feedback was good and helpful for my revision. The teacher's feedback was extremely nice as well. As a result I didn't have to corrected much.

In summary this project was very helpful for my understanding of a proper feature story.
